Can’t find it at Sacred Heart or in SWITCH? Try searching WorldCat, the global library catalog. (Opens in a new window.) You may ask the staff to request a loan from another library.

How do I get a library card? You will need to register with a library staff member during regular office hours (weekdays, 8:00am – 4:30pm; we are closed for lunch from noon – 1:00 ). Please have a driver’s license or other form of identification available. There is no charge for a community borrower card or borrowing materials from other SWITCH libraries.
The borrowing period for books is 28 days, with one renewal. Audio-visual material loan periods will vary according to the policies of the SWITCH library. You are responsible for any fines for overdue items.
Search for a book – You may search for a book in the library catalog by keyword, author, title, subject, ISBN, and other ways. To get the call number, simply click on the title. If Sacred Heart owns an item, you will see “SHST” in the list of holding libraries. If Sacred Heart does not own the item, you may request it by clicking on the “Request” icon at the top of the record.
Search for a CD or DVD – You may search for a CD or DVD in the library catalog by keyword, author, title, or subject. The catalog shows a small icon showing the format type, and the Location will say “SHSST DVDs” or “SHSST CDs”. These items can be checked out in the same way as library books.
